You will have an unique experience sailing with us. You will sail, snorkel, swim, drink, eat surounded by the blue Caribbean waters. Those are the things we will provide for you: Snorkel equipment, stand up paddle board, kayak, music, food, drinks and much more.

There is a secure parking lot at our location.

  • Where do we meet?

The Phoenix is very close to the cruise ship port and you don’t have to take a taxi to reach us! Meet the crew 15 minutes before boarding at Chesterfields/Dock St. Maarten location. Directions: From the cruise ship facility turn left and walk towards Philipsburg. At the first open space (there is a parking lot as well), turn left and walk towards the water. You will see The Phoenix right there. Alternate pick-up: if you are staying in a resort, at select dates we might be able to meet you in Simpson Bay. Please contact us directly to have it arranged.

Pack your swimsuits, hat, a towel, sunscreen, camera, money for your balance payment, gratuity at your discretion. We provide snorkel gear and other water sport tools and The Phoenix crew keeps it clean and sanitized.

  • Do you actually sail or just motor?

YES! Whenever we can, we have the engine off and raise the sails. We love to sail and want you to enjoy the beauty of sailing the island! We can usually sail in the morning with no engine, as the winds are favorable. It is not possible to sail INTO the wind so we typically motor on the reyurn trip, as we also have to consider timing. Naturally, it is not possible to sail without any wind, so weather conditions always have to be taken into account.

  • Will food be served on board?

Yes. It is all included in the tour! Food and drinks are served on all our tours. The menu depends on the tour you book and the time of day. Feel free to contact us directly with any dietary requirements or restrictions.

  • What drinks do you have?

Once we cast off our bar opens and stays open until we reach the shore again. We serve Beer, Coke, Diet Coke, Sprite, bottled water, Rum, Gin, Vodka, Tequila, (top shelf available at no extra cost) ginger ale, club soda, tonic water, juices (usually orange, pineapple, cranberry), margaritas, bloody Marys and of course, RUM PUNCH. We make our own! All subject to availability of course. What would you like to have? Please ask us beforehand and will we do our best to provide your favorite drink on board.  All drinks are included in your tour booking.

Many activitiy desks here on the island are owned by tour operators themselves and they have been said to lie about competiting tour companies in an attempt to get your business, a sad truth for many visitors on holiday.  We recommend always booking dirctly and in advance of your arrival so you are sure to get what you want.

  • Are there bathrooms on board?

Yes, there are two seperate bathroom areas for female and male.  The female area includes two seperate electrical toilets or “heads” as well call them on a boat and a common area with two sinks.  The male area has a urinal and a seperate electrical head.
